Potty Training

Can’t stop now, I’m up to my elbows in washing sheets and pillowcases and pants and trousers and the floor and the walls(!) and anything that got in the way when Z. was weeing and pooing all over the place today!!!

I knew there was a reason I’d put this off ’til now……

For every time he goes to the toilet, there’s another when he doesn’t!

  1. Try potty training rewards. This worked great for our son. He loved pushing the audio button hearing he is a Big Boy and opening a door to find a chocolate surprise. He really became involved. He was peeing and pooping in his potty within a week. Have a look and see if this would work

  2. I feel your pain!

Chee is using the potty half the time, and half the time she’s choosing the floor. Sigh. Makes for lots of washing and scrubbing.

Best of luck. I’m sure it will be much easier for you than it’s been here.

  3. You have my profound and everlasting sympathy. It wouldn’t be so bad if the weather were nice enough to throw them in the garden where they can piddle in peace.

  4. Thanks Karen, I’ll go and have a look.

Hi Goodfountain, I read your story about Chee and the spray bottle, very funny! So far Z’s genuinely trying to use the toilet and I take him fifty million times a day, just in case but they obviously aren’t the right times….
His latest thing though, and I thought of it while I was reading your story, is to tip water onto his sheets, hoping he won’t have to go to bed! Of course I just change the sheet but it’s a bother.

Katy, if the weather was nice, I’d stay out there all day, in the garden, with a naked boy and a hose! lol 🙂
